This is part II of my exploration with Light + Color (see part I). Egypt is actually magical — though it’s hard to remember that sometimes. It’s more so when you have this vantage point vs up close near the pyramids at Giza. Cairo is one of the most exploited and tourist infested places I’ve ever been (at least it used to be before the current political turmoil). In sheer numbers, it may be more so in other places like Paris or Rome, but for some reason, you feel it much more in Egypt. From this hidden spot, visited mostly by locals, you can start to imagine why this place was, once-upon-a-time, so spectacular.
