Having 70 degree weather on Thanksgiving weekend means you take advantage of it, and we did. Decided to go for some wine tasting in Sonoma so we visited Ravenswood and Viansa wineries. Having wine country be so close is definitely another perk of living in SF. Only an hour away and you’re transported to parts of California that I truly believe are as nice as the wine regions in Italy. Wine county feels different every season — my favorite is fall during harvest.
On our drive, I always stop a million times at the side of the street to take photos of the views.
Sat down for a light lunch on Viansa’s patio. I can make a habit out of this view.
The winery shops are always filled with pretty things.
And the shelves are stacked with goodies…
Back at home with three bottles I’m excited about: a 2010 Sangiovese from Viansa, Bedrock, a 2010 Zinfandel, and my favorite, a 2009 Zinfandel, Barricia.
