An Acai Super Bowl

Ever since I’ve tried Acai bowls in LA filled with the super fruit, a mix of other seasonal fruits, and granola, I’ve been hooked.  I thought I’d find many places here in the Bay Area (especially in the marina…) that serve this but surprisingly I’ve only found two and they’re mediocre.  So I decided to make my own.


Here’s how:

1. 7oz of frozen pureed Acai that you can find in the frozen food section of a wholefood’s

2. Granola + almond slivers

3. 1 Banana

4. 3oz Frozen blueberries (or any berries you prefer)

5. Fresh blueberries (or any seasonal fruits you prefer)

6. Dried coconut bits

7. Mint for garnish

Place the Acai + the frozen fruits + the banana in a food processer and mix until one cohesive paste.  Here you can add your favorite protein powder.  Place Acai mix in a bowl, place granola + almond slivers and fresh blueberries on top.  Finish with a sprinkle of coconut and mint.
