A Tuna Dinner

A Tuna Dinner

Been on a healthy kick the last few weeks so I replaced the red meat with a different kind of red meat, Ahi Tuna.  I’ve seared the tuna so that it’s raw in the middle.  I served it with an avocado, cucumber and arugula salad.  I really liked it!

Here’s how.

1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon black sesame
1 teaspoon grated ginger
1 tablespoon scallions
1 clove of garlic
A pinch of salt and a pinch of black pepper

Mix all the marinade ingredients and then cover the tuna thoroughly and let it sit in the fridge for at least an hour.  When you’re ready to cook, make sure the grill is super hot (you could also cook in a skillet on a hot stovetop) to quickly sear the outside while keeping the inside raw.  Grill for 1.5 minutes on each side, and it’s ready!

1.5 ripe avocados
3 persian cucumbers
A handful of arugula
Juice of half a lemon

Cut up the avocado and the cucumbers into medium-sized pieces.  Mix with the arugula.  Add the lemon and finish off with salt and pepper.
